Sunday 2 November Catcliffe Flash Through the 1980s I stopped at Catcliffe Flash daily on my way to and from work. Pre-dawn through winter there was the strange phenomenon of a Black-headed Gull gathering, this could number up to several thousand gulls in the 80s. It still happens to this day. This morning, Sunday they arrived from the north and then the south from 0635 hrs, as in the past at the northern end of the reserve. Most had left south by 0650 hrs. There is some bath
